Practice

Selected Areas of Work

Hilton McConnico moved fluidly between disciplines. The categories below are only a simplified map of a much wider practice.

Fashion

Early collections created in Paris, where cut and colour were treated almost like stage elements. This experience with the body in motion fed directly into later work for film and interiors.

Cinema & Scenography

Production design and costumes for films and commercials. Elaborate sets with deep colour, layered textures and a strong narrative atmosphere became a signature.

Objects & Glass

Sculptural objects and glass pieces that combine strong silhouettes with luminous surfaces, often using transparency and reflection as part of the composition.

Interiors

Restaurants, boutiques and unique spaces that balance theatricality with comfort. Light, mirrors and colour are treated as core materials.

Textiles & Surface Design

Patterns, carpets and wall coverings that remix traditional motifs through a graphic, contemporary lens.

Drawing & Painting

Continuous sketching and painting, from quick studies to large-scale works. These images trace the same imagined worlds that appear in his interiors and sets.

The list above is not exhaustive. It is intended as a compact guide for visitors who are discovering his work for the first time.
